Star Wars excitement is reaching fever pitch at the moment with the first teaser trailer due to reach us next month. But, to keep us going until that eagerly awaited day, Anakin himself, Hayden Christensen, took the time to share a few thoughts on Episode II with USA Today. Bless him. Regarding the dubious moniker Attack of The Clones, Christensen assures people that the title is appropriate for the film. Predictably bound from disclosing anything resembling a detailed plot description, he did confess that there were, in fact, clones and there will certainly be an attack of some kind - by all accounts a large one. "There was the same reaction when they announced The Phantom Menace," he says. "They didn't know what it was about, and it didn't make sense. But it works." Asked about the possibility of steamy naked shower scenes with Queen Amidala, Christensen answers, sadly, in the negative. "No, no. It's PG. But it's definitely romantic, and a large part is the love story." Naked or not, the young jedi has nothing but good things to say about co-star Natalie Portman, "she's articulate, astute and very easy to play off of. It's not hard to look at her with loving eyes." Christensen mentions that everyone's favourite gungan has changed slightly since Episode I, though won't say how exactly and denies that he can now kick some serious arse with a lightsaber. "They don't teach you the style of fighting, they teach you the choreography. If you ask me to pick up a lightsaber and do some tricks, I can. But put someone in front of me and say, 'Fight?' Unless I've been told where to step and swing, I can't." Christensen will be coming to these shores next week when he arrives in London for some minor Episode II re-shoots. But before the horrors of failed test-screenings and frantic re-writes enter your mind, Christensen insists it's nothing serious. "George is just fine-tuning the story," he says. "He kind of builds the movie like Lego. He'll assemble it all and just add piece by piece and take it back when necessary."
