As he puts together the pieces for his third film as a director, actor Kevin Pollak has found the star for new thriller Waiting For Helen. Blade Runner 2049's Ana De Armas will play the title character.
As seems to be standard for such things these days, Variety was unable to dig up much in the way of plot. But we do at least know it's a noir thriller. "I needed that extraordinary combination of stunning beauty and breath-taking depth of character," Pollak tells the trade mag of his new hire. "Ana was my first choice for Helen, and I feel profoundly lucky to direct her in this role."
De Armas has a few films coming up, including action thriller Three Seconds and Danny Boyle's latest, which has yet to reveal its title, and should be on screens next year.
