After being one of the best – albeit frustratingly brief – parts of No Time To Die, Ana De Armas is now circling a role that should offer her much more screen time and the chance to kick even more butts. She's in talks to star in John Wick spin-off Ballerina.
With Len Wiseman in the director's chair and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum co-writer Shay Hatten on script duty, the new movie will focus on the Ballerina character glimpsed briefly (and there played by Unity Phelan) in Parabellum and tracks a young assassin who seeks revenge against the people who killed her family, which feels very much a Wick-style story.
It remains to be seen whether Keanu Reeves' character shows up at all (and probably not for more than a fleeting cameo), but who even needs Wick when you have De Armas ready to punch, kick and shoot her way through a movie in the main role? (Cue us watching nervously in case Wick decides this is reason to hunt us down).
