She’s making the leap from successful stand-up and TV series writer/star to film lead this summer. And Amy Schumer already has her eye on a future project: she’s aboard to co-write and star in a new comedy that has Paul Feig attached to produce{ =nofollow}.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is being kept quiet since it’s still at a relatively early stage, but the trade mag has heard that it finds a mother and daughter on a holiday that goes horribly, hilariously wrong.

Katie Dippold (who wrote The Heat for Feig to direct and is working with him on the new Ghostbusters) was responsible for the original draft of the script. Schumer will now adapt it for her voice, writing alongside her sister Kim Caramele, who regularly serves as a producer on her show.

While Feig is currently only set to produce the new comedy, there’s a chance he may end up directing it after he finishes work on Ghostbusters, but he has several other projects in development. His latest, the Melissa McCarthy action comedy Spy, debuts in the UK on June 5.

Schumer wrote and stars in Trainwreck, directed by Judd Apatow, which arrives here on August 14.
