Amy Schumer might not be having the best time of it outside of her film work – her latest special's reviews were reportedly hacked to favour negative reactions. But she's back on big screens this May with the new comedy Snatched, in which she co-stars alongside Goldie Hawn. The new trailer is online now.
Schumer is playing Emily Middleton, an impetuous sort who is planning an exotic holiday to Ecuador with her boyfriend (Randall Park). But when he dumps her on the eve of the trip, Emily – who has booked a non-refundable ticket – persuades her over-cautious mother Linda (Hawn) to come along instead.
Things initially seem to go well for Emily, especially when she meets the handsome Tom Bateman. But then she and Linda are kidnapped, and they'll have to figure out their mother/daughter issues while also finding a way to escape their captors.
Jonathan Levine is the director here, while Ike Barinholtz, Wanda Sykes and Óscar Jaenada are all in the cast. Snatched arrives in UK cinemas on 19 May.
