We still don't know much at all about Amazon's plans following its pricey acquisition of the rights to produce a series based on part of JRR Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings writing. And despite hosting a panel last week at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, the company wasn't exactly forthcoming. Still, it did put something out into the world, as a map of the part of Middle-earth the planned series will cover (at least to begin with), which you can find below.

What we do know about the show right now is this: it will explore a time before Peter Jackson's movies were set and... That's it. There has been talk of a young Aragorn (the rider/warrior-turned-king played in the films by Viggo Mortensen) narrative, but nothing has been officially confirmed on that front.

JD Payne and Patrick McKay (who worked on drafts of Star Trek Beyond), are overseeing the new show, which has yet to confirm when shooting will kick off or exactly when it might hit Amazon. Check out the full version of the map, with zoom and pan function, via the company's Twitter account for the show, which has also been offering up text teases.
