Jay Roach has already assembled quite the cast for his still-untitled film about the fall of former Fox News boss Roger Ailes, with Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie all aboard. The director is adding another Oscar winner in Allison Janney.

The Big Short's Charles Randolph wrote the script for the film, which will follow Ailes rise and fall. He ran Fox News and helped launch the careers of Megyn Kelly (Theron), Gretchen Carlson (Kidman), and Sean Hannity with his powerful channel. He also was also a prominent figure in Republican circles who helped elect presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George Bush. He was forced to resign in 2016 due to sexual harassment allegations, with Carlson and Kelly’s the most high-profile, and which contributed to his exit from the network.

Janney is playing Susan Estritch, an author and liberal commentator, who was the first female President of the Harvard Law Review and the first woman to manage a presidential campaign. She surprised many by representing Ailes even after a slew of sexual harassment allegations surfaced against him.

With John Lithgow portraying Ailes and Robbie as a fictional producer, the film is now in pre-production. Janney's back on US TV in the next season of sitcom Mom and will be heard in the new Addams Family animated movie, due out next year.
