Not, as you might suspect, a new royal drama featuring intrigue and beheadings, The Queen Mary will, in fact, be a horror movie set aboard the eponymous ship docked at California's Long Beach. Now Alice Eve is on to star in the movie.
Gary Shore, who last made Dracula Untold, is directing the film based on a script he wrote with Stephen Oliver and Tom Vaughan. It'll channel the vessel's long history of hauntings and ghostly encounters. "I'm fascinated, obsessed and disturbed by this ship - there's something very dark and human about her," says Shore. "It's a stylistic tightrope between reverence and horror."
No plot information was revealed about the movie, though the intent here is to launch a trilogy of spooky movies set aboard the ship.
