Marvin the Martian is gathering his invasion force - the film version of the popular Looney Tunes character now has a director, in the shape of Alex Zamm, a pair of writers and, possibly Mike Myers to provide his voice.
Zamm - who also signed on to direct a film based on Hong Kong Phooey - is in charge, while former Spin City writers Paul Kaplan and Mark Torgove are working up the script, which according to the LA Times, will see Marvin attempt to destroy Christmas, but becoming trapped in a gift box.
As for Myers, he's apparently on the top of the team's wish list to voice the ever-frustrated alien, but so far is only in talks for the part.
Warners is putting together the elements for a Chipmunks-style movie that will feature a CG Marvin surrounded by live-action actors, and aims to get the thing in cinemas by Christmas 2011.
