Having already gathered key cast members Lupita Nyong'o and Stranger Things' Joseph Quinn for sci-fi spin-off A Quiet Place: Day One, director Michael Sarnoski is now drawing from his back catalogue. Pig){href='https://www.empireonline.com/movies/reviews/pig-2021/' } star Alex Wolff is the latest recruit to the movie.
Set in the same universe as John Krasinski's A Quiet Place movies, the new film will see different characters trying to survive the monstrous alien creatures that hunt using sound. And a world were the slightest noise can spell your doom.
Exact plot details are being kept quiet, but from the sounds of the title, it'll be set on the first day the aliens crash landed and began to spread havoc. Jeff Nichols was originally going to direct the film, but dropped out to pursue another project. Paramount and Krasinski hired Sarnoski off the back of Pig and he's worked on the script.
A Quiet Place: Day One will be in cinemas on 8 March next year.
