It’s been an especially busy week so far for already prolific writer/producer Akiva Goldsman, who was rumoured to be directing Paranormal Activity 2, then definitely not. Now it appears his film directing debut will happen with a different genre – action movies – and Fox’s Man And Wife in particular.
The script, which the studio snapped up as a spec a couple of years ago, doesn’t exactly have the freshest concept in this post True Lies/Mr & Mrs Smith world: we follow a seemingly everyday husband who is actually a professional killer and what happens to both sides of his life when his wife begins to suspect something.
And the idea is even now about to hit our screens again, since it’s very similar to the basic concept for the Ashton Kutcher/Katherine Heigl action comedy Killers. Sounds like Goldsman will have to go some to make it feel fresh, which should come easy to the writer off Batman And… Okay, we’ll stop pointing at that.
