Harrison Ford's hijack thriller Air Force One, in which he stars as the US president, landed at the top of the American chart last weekend with estimated earnings of $37.1 million. It finally toppled the smash Men in Black, which had held on to the top spot for three weeks and has now dropped two places. Air Force One is now Harrison Ford's biggest weekend opener, taking nearly $6 million more than the Special Edition Star Wars earlier this year. Even real life president Bill Clinton, still a little touchy about Jodie Foster's Contact, enjoyed the movie, despite the presence of a few factual errors.
