Yesterday Dave Franco was reported as being in talks to join Michael Bay's new action thriller, Six Underground. According to Variety, he's officially in the cast, and he's not the only one, as Adria Arjona, Corey Hawkins and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo have all been recruited.
With Netflix backing and distributing the movie, Six Underground will see Ryan Reynolds as the leader of a squad that battles evil, with the team comprising four men and two women. The idea comes from Reynolds' Deadpool collaborators, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
Bay is scheduled to start shooting the movie later this month, so we can expect more news soon. And it'll hit Netflix next year, with the streaming service it grabs as many eyeballs as Bright.
Arjona appeared in Pacific Rim Uprising and will next be seen in Triple Frontier. Hawkins has Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman headed our way next month, and has worked on Christoph Waltz's directorial debut, Georgetown. Garcia-Rulfo, meanwhile, is on screens in the Sicario sequel and will be seen in Widows (out 9 November).
