Cast your mind back to last May when we learned that Trick ‘R Treat writer/director Michael Dougherty was planning to haunt another holiday with festive horror comedy Krampus. He’s been busy rounding up actors for the film, with Adam Scott, David Koechner, Allison Tolman, Emjay Anthony and Stefania Owen all signed on.

Krampus, co-written by the director with Todd Casey and Zach Shields, will keep the focus on the Pagan demon that punishes the wicked and makes a meal (literally) of naughty children. Anthony, last seen as Jon Favreau’s son in Chef, will be the main target of the creature as the hero of the film. Scott and Koechner will be fathers whose children have gone mysteriously missing, with Owen as Scott’s daughter. There’s no word on what role Tolman, who won plaudits for her role in the Fargo TV series, is playing.

Scott, who recently wrapped up work on Parks And Recreation, is returning to big screens on April 10 with Hot Tub Time Machine 2. He’ll next show up in indies The Overnight and Sleeping With Other People plus Boston crime drama Black Mass, which stars Johnny Depp. Koechner was part of the cast for Cheap Thrills and has Scouts Vs. Zombies and Hell & Back making their way through post-production. Owen was part of the cast for Sex And The City prequel The Carrie Diaries and appeared in The Lovely Bones.
