Adam Sandler's career these days, especially when it comes to his Netflix contract, appears to be on the one-for-them-one-for-me model (though tipping the scales more towards his comedy bread and butter): mixing his wackier work such as Hubie Halloween with the likes of Uncut Gems. Directed by Jeremiah Zagar, working from a script by Taylor Materne and Will Fetters, Hustle is the story of Staley Beren (Sandler), a down on his luck basketball scout, who discovers a once-in-a-lifetime player with a rocky past abroad.
