Despite scoring an Oscar for her work on A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga hasn't leapt on to every film job that was no doubt flung her way in the time since that success. She'll be seen in Ridley Scott's Gucci when that kicks off shooting, but it appears she's also found time in schedule to join Brad Pitt in David Leitch's action thriller Bullet Train.

The film is based on Kotaro Isaka's novel Maria Beetle, with a script by Zak Olkewicz. While the exact plot has yet to be specified, the story sees five assassins finding themselves on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are linked to one another. The question becomes, who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station?

Leitch has been adding cast members in drip-feed fashion so far, and Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Masi Oka and Michael Shannon are all already aboard alongside Pitt, their roles a mystery for now.
