Abrams Producing Infinitely Polar Bear

Given the high number of films/TV shows he’s either directing, producing, shepherding or writing, we’re starting to think that the only way JJ Abrams’ family spends any time with him is by starting their own production company and collaborating with him that way (if they did, we’re guessing the first project would be a film that features a dad who spends all his time engrossed with work, but learns the true value in life comes from his children). But they’ll be competing with yet another film on the busy cinematic bee’s roster, as according to Pajiba, Abrams is now producing** Infinitely Polar Bear**.

Confused? Guessing it’s a Lost spin-off? Well, don’t be. And it’s not (sadly). Bear is actually the directorial debut of Monsters Vs Aliens and **The Rocker **co-writer Maya Forbes. She’s penned a script about a bipolar man who has to keep his life on track enough to take care of his daughters while his wife takes a shot at starting a career.

The family is still trying to recover from the trauma of him getting hospitalised in a manic-depressive incident and the couple going their separate ways. According to Pajiba’s sources, Mark Ruffalo is being considered as the right man for the lead role.

Abrams, of course, is busy making Super 8 while also overseeing the new Mission: Impossible, which Brad Bird has started directing.
