Looking for a lockdown wardrobe refresh? Stuck in quarantine with a crappy boyfriend who – SPOILER WARNING – you’re worryingly close to burning alive in a hollowed-out bear carcass? Spent a solid hour looking at Maypoles to dance around ’til you drop? Then A24 has the charity auction for you! The indie film studio is selling off iconic props from a bunch of its recent movies, Midsommar included, all to raise money for a range of causes connected to the Covid-19 pandemic – so get ready to bid.

Midsommar items up for sale include the iconic May Queen dress (made with 10,000 silk flowers) and its corresponding flower-crown, plus Christian’s bear hat, and that comically-oversized mallet that they use to… well, it doesn’t bear thinking about. You can bid for those from 27 April at 5pm BST, with proceeds going to the FDNY (New York City Fire Department) Foundation.

But that’s not all – there’s also some other desirable swag up for sale from Uncut Gems, including that iconic diamanté Furby, a Celtics basketball jersey, a racecar bed, and more. Props from the Safdie Brothers’ ludicrously tense thriller go on sale from 4 May at 5pm BST, to benefit the Queens Community House.

Any budding Wikies could be in with a chance of bagging some bits from Robert Eggers’ The Lighthouse – including the actual light from the lighthouse itself (it’s the titular role!) and the wood-chiselled mermaid effigy that helps R-Pattz’s lonely lighthouse keeper get his rocks off. Perfect for anyone trapped in isolation without any hope of seeing the rest of civilisation any time soon… so, everyone. Items from The Lighthouse go on sale on 11 May at 5pm to benefit Food Bank For New York City.

Elsewhere, bids are now open for other A24 items – including Stevie’s Cowabunga skateboard from Mid90s, the ‘Coolest Girl In The World’ time capsule box from Eighth Grade, and some Hereditary doormats. Take a look at the open auction items here. The temptation to impulse-buy thing we don't need as a way of coping with lockdown just intensified.
