A Quiet Place 3 In The Works

A Quiet Place

Though we've been seeing reports of a third, non-sequel film set in the world of A Quiet Place, Paramount used a fragment of its giant investor day announcement run to confirm that a direct follow-up to the original two is also in the works.

Details are naturally being kept quiet (no pun intended) at this point, so we don't yet know how involved writer/director John Krasinski will be yet. Presumably, however, he'll be back behind the camera, with Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe in front of it, since this is aiming to continue the story of the Abbott family as they look to survive in a world swarming with sharp-eared alien beasties.

We'll have to wait for confirmation of any of that, though – all that was announced today was a planned 2025 release in cinemas.

The spin-off, meanwhile, is also still moving forward with Pig director Michael Sarnoski overseeing and Krasinski as a producer. That'll focus on a different story within the world of the Quiet Place movies and is scheduled to land in cinemas on 22 September next year, though no casting has been revealed yet.
