After tearing up the streets of LA and leaving flaming tire tracks on the highways of Miami, you've got to wonder how much faster and more furious this franchise can possibly aspire to be. Regardless, the folks at Universal are pressing on with a third film in the Fast and the Furious series that will undoubtedly see even faster cars driven by women with even less clothing, doing the kind of things the DVLA has embolisms just thinking about. But before you let out that exasperated sigh and begin bandying around words like 'dead', 'dog' and 'flogging', do bear in mind that the previous two were actually rather good. Sure, they're not groundbreaking but we defy anyone not to enjoy them for mindless action-orientated entertainment. And the best part? Vin Diesel is in early negotiations to return after his departure at the end of the first film (in which, let's be honest, he was the highlight). Whether Paul Walker returns for a third outing remains to be seen but if Diesel's there, does anyone really care? The screenplay is currently being written and Diesel's participation is dependent on him liking what he reads when it's done.
