$204 Million For Matrix

Empire readers may be split on whether The Matrix Revolutions is a rewarding end to the trilogy or, and we're quoting you here, 'utter crap'. However that hasn't stopped the Wachowskis and Warner Bros reaping a whopping $204.1 million in worldwide box office during its opening five days. Smashing the previous world record set by The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers in 2002 of $188 million, Revolutions made $85 million in the States and almost $15 million here in the UK.
