There has been no word on any new main Bourne films in the works, with Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass presumably busy on other things. But if you need your fill of agents trained in dark ops by a dodgy, off-book CIA operation, then new TV pilot Treadstone could be what you're after.

Created by Heroes man Tim Kring, and set up with Stateside cable channel USA Network, the show will follow the titular training programme that spawned Jason Bourne and other operatives. It'll look at the origins of the team and will track sleeper agents that are suddenly awakened to carry out deadly missions.

We wouldn't expect to see Damon or anyone from the movies in the show (though it's still early days), and it'll have to make it past the pilot stage (99 Homes and Fahrenheit 451 director Ramin Bahrani will call the shots for this initial episode) if it's to score a series order.

And Treadstone is just one of several pilots announced by the network, with the others including Erase, co-created by and starring Denis Leary as a dirty ex-cop whose plan to bring down his corrupt former bosses with his photographic memory is complicated as early-onset Alzheimer's affects him, crime drama Briarpatch and new drama Dare Me, which has Peter Berg producing.
