Solo: A Star Wars Story has peppered the galaxy far far away with a colourful new dramatis personae and, with another Star Wars movie some fifteen months away, it felt a good time to pose the most difficult of all questions: just who is the greatest Star Wars character of all time? We’re throwing this mission — tougher than a raid on Scarif — over to you.
With the series expanding in all kinds of new exciting directions, the task is even more challenging. You can pick from legends like Leia or Lobot (dig those headphones), Prequel era icons like Darth Maul or Qui-Gon Jinn or the current crop of heroes like Finn or Jyn. You can draw from films, TV, games, novels or comic books. You can choose exotic names like Ki-Adi-Mundi. Or you can choose Val. It’s really up to you.
Don’t forget you can travel to the Outer Rim of Star Wars fandom. If you’ve got a thing for Jira (“Storm’s coming Annie), or Therm Scissorpunch or any of the 1300 characters Warwick Davis plays, do it (there is no try).
