For three decades Empire has brought you the very best of the big screen – and if you’re as obsessed with the latest TV shows and streaming series as we are, Pilot TV is for you. It’s the very first magazine of its kind, anywhere in the world, dedicated to the wonderful, time-consuming, life-consuming world of cinematic television, and it comes from the team behind Empire. With countless channels, platforms, and on-demand services all vying for your attention with premium-quality small-screen shows, Pilot TV is your guide to the best of the box – because (much as you might want to) you can’t watch everything.

The Magazine

Pilot TV – Issue 2

Launched in early 2018, Pilot TV is a quarterly print magazine with reviews, previews, exclusive interviews, first-look images, set reports, and longform stories on all the new and classic cinematic TV you need to know about. Each issue has three main sections: The Watch List, the inside track on every new show that matters; Features, diving deep into shows old and new, and the men and women that bring them to life both in front of and behind the camera; and The Box, revisiting and reassessing the classic series that have shaped our current TV landscape. It’s your complete guide to every quality TV show that matters – and it comes bundled in with your copy of Empire. Look out for the next issue of Pilot TV, coming with the July issue, on sale 13 June.

The Podcast

The Pilot TV Podcast is a weekly show hosted by Pilot TV Deputy Editor James Dyer, joined in the studio by Editor-In-Chief Terri White and fellow Deputy Editor, Boyd Hilton. Together, they discuss the latest TV news, review the best (and worst) of the week’s cinematic TV, and get up close and personal with both filmmakers and the stars of the shows in exclusive interviews (and generally get off-track at any given opportunity). Listen to the latest episode every Monday on PlanetRadio, and subscribe here via iTunes.
