What was your first day of shooting like?
Honestly, in the first week of shooting I thought I was gonna get fired. I’m thinking, “Wow, these are all legendary actors. What the hell am I doing here?” After the first shot, I walked up to the Daniels and I said, “Hey, am I good?” They said, “You’re fine. Just continue.” But I still had that insecurity. It wasn’t until the end of that first week that it changed. I did one shot and Jamie Lee Curtis was watching the monitor. After, she came over and gave me a huge hug and she says, “Ke, that was fucking amazing.” The next day I walked on set with full confidence.
Your fanny-pack fight is iconic. When was the first viewing of it?
The Daniels cut together that sequence and showed it to the cast and crew at lunchtime one day. I was so nervous, I hid in my dressing room...
