What was the working atmosphere on Banshees like?
There just never seemed to be a moment manufactured at all between any of us. I think maybe it was something to do with all of us just quietly accepting each other’s neurosis, in a way. Do you know what I mean? We're all, as individuals or artists, or actors, or singers, or dancers, or writers, or all the above, struggling to find some truth in our own lives. We know that the work that we do is an incredibly fertile medium to try and expose those truths. I honestly think that we're all contending with that. If you know your vulnerabilities, you know yourself, man.
Do you always enjoy that kind of collaboration?
It’s so much fun, man, when you are all exchanging ideas, and you’re not just taking care of yourself — you’ve fully realised that you have a part to play in the greater scheme of the story that's unfolding...
