The Blonde bombshell on starring in the Marilyn Monroe movie that rocked the world
This was a huge amount of movie to shoot in 47 days.
Truly crazy. Especially with everything that the film covers: movie recreations and her childhood, which is such an important part in the movie, all the wardrobe changes. This was full-on for everyone, but everyone was so passionate about it. It’s one of those movies that you feel like, “I would pay to do this movie.”
Did you draw a clear distinction between Norma Jean and Marilyn?
I think there are scenes that were pushing more for the discomfort, and danger, and the vulnerability [of Norma Jean], and then there were other scenes where clearly Marilyn was needed...
