Hey, why are you charging?
When we started knocking out the odd Spoiler Special back in 2012, alongside the regular EMPIRE Film Podcast, we never truly saw the massive hit they would become. But each episode takes time and people! So we asked you lot via a survey last year if you’d be up for paying a small fee for Spoiler Specials and a ton of you said yes. The idea is that this’ll enable us to produce new episodes more regularly, including the oft-discussed retro spoiler specials.
Will I also have to pay for the normal EMPIRE Film Podcast?
Nope, this will remain free
What do I get for my money?
A minimum of two brand-new episodes a month (usually more), plus exclusive subscriber-only access to our archive of well over a hundred previous Spoiler Specials. As has become tradition, most of the episodes will feature interviews with creative teams, including directors, writers, and producers. But if not Team Empire will step into the breach, as ever.
How often will a new episode be uploaded?
We are at the whim of the film release schedule, so whenever there’s a movie (or on some special occasions a TV show) worthy of the spoiler special treatment! But your two per month minimum is guaranteed. We’ll announce via our social channels when a new episode has been released – follow @empiremagazine on Instagram and Twitter and like our Facebook page.
How can I listen to the Spoiler Specials?
We support most of your favourite podcast apps, including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Overcast, Pocketcasts, Podcast Addict, Castbox, BeyondPod, Downcast, PlayerFM, Breaker, and RadioPublic.
