The popular description for this show is that it's The Wizard Of Oz infused with a dose of Game Of Thrones – the result of which is a decidedly adult take where the stakes are quite often life-and-death.
In the following video interviews conducted exclusively by Empire, Adria Arjona, who plays an adult Dorothy Gale; and Vincent D'Onofrio, who takes on the role of The Wizard, discuss the show. They begin by sharing what drew them to the project in the first place.
In the second segment, they reflect on the fact that all ten hours of season one were directed by Tarsem Singh, as opposed to the way television would normally alternate directors.
