Following on from the success of Dunkirk, Christopher Nolan is back, and in typically cryptic form. His latest film is Tenet, which promises... Well, we'll mostly have to wait and see on that front besides a very basic description you can find below.
What's the story of Tenet?
A fine question, and one that Nolan is keeping to himself for now, though hopefully he shared it with A) studio executives and B) his cast and crew via the script. Warner Bros.' official description cites it as "an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage."
Who directed Tenet?
Why, Christopher Nolan, of course! The man behind such films as Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Inception once again gathered some of his usual team, including production designer Nathan Crowley, producer Emma Thomas (who he also happens to be married to) and cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema. But there are some new recruits, such as composer Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther) and editor Jennifer Lame. The crew has been working across seven countries to shoot this one.
Who is starring in Tenet?
The cast for the film includes...
Teaser
In keeping with Nolan's commitment to big screen entertainment when many directors are being lured to streaming services, the teaser for the film has, so far, only been released in cinemas. And in front of Hobbs & Shaw, no less, which would outwardly appear to be an odd bedfellow. And it was the definition of tease, mostly showing Washington's character inspecting bullet holes in glass before flashing other images –someone in SWAT gear and then Washington in a breathing mask.
When is Tenet released?
Tenet will be in UK cinemas on 17 July next year
