We're always a little suspicious when film marketing announces the "final" trailer for something as big and anticipated as Deadpool 2. But here we are again, even though you know a raft of other items are still to come. This latest look at the movie is a much more traditional one than previous trailers, but it still contains plenty of Deadpool's traditional meta wit.
This time around, we find Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson on a new mission: he has to protect a young man with powers named Russell (Julian Dennison) from time-travelling threat Cable (Josh Brolin, or "Thanos" as Deadpool enjoys calling him here). Cue another raucous adventure full of rude quips and madcap action (Atomic Blonde's David Leitch is the director, and we'd expect him to push the punchy-shooty-stabby envelope further).
Morena Baccarin, TJ Miller, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand and Karan Soni are all back from the first film, even as Deadpool assembles a group of mutants to help him, including Zazie Beetz' Domino, Terry Crews' Bedlam and Lewis Tan's Shatterstar. Oh, and last but not least, Peter (Rob Delaney), who doesn't have any powers, he just saw the ad...
Deadpool 2 will (dis)grace our cinemas on 15 May.
