It's a busy old day for news on Marvel veteran directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who have been busy splitting their time between dusting Avengers and setting up their studio company AGBO for future projects. One of them, a mysterious new sci-fi film they'll produce to be directed by Swiss Army Man duo The Daniels now has Crazy Rich Asians' Michelle Yeoh and Awkwafina in talks to star.

First talked up back in 2017 and mentioned by the Russos during a chat on the Empire Podcast earlier this year, the movie is mostly still shrouded in mystery. The Hollywood Reporter has heard it'll feature inter-dimensional action, but given that it comes from Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the directors who gave the word a farting Daniel Radcliffe corpse, who knows what weird adventure will be weaved this time? Still, it'll be fun to see Yeoh and Awkwafina given the chance to properly interact on screen as they rarely shared screen time in the rom-com.

The actors have seen Asians become a huge hit in the States (it arrives here on 14 September and the Empire review is here). The former has a few films on the way, including Master Z: Ip Man Legacy and Joe Carnahan's Boss Level, while the latter will next pop up in Paradise Hills and lend her voice to the Angry Birds sequel.
