It's time to go back in time for the MCU, and Doctor Strange isn't required. The new trailer for Captain Marvel, set in the 1990s world of pagers and Blockbuster video, has arrived and demands an audience with your eyeballs. Check it out...
Captain Marvel features Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, a human test pilot saved by the Kree and imbued with amazing abilities, then embroiled in an intergalactic war between the Kree and their enemies, the Skrulls. Aiming to shift away from the usual origin story, we'll pick up Carol as she's already powered up, but the tale will flit back to Earth to explore what actually might have happened to her.
And that precious blue marble will need her, since the conniving, shapeshifting Skrulls, led by Ben Mendelsohn's Talos, have a plan to dominate our poor planet. So the likes of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson will require a little Marvel-ous assistance to fight back.
Fans of the first trailer will be happy to see there is indeed more to the old lady punching that sparked such a reaction, and with more of the effects complete, there's plenty of razzle dazzle on display, anchored by Larson's human touch.
Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck called the shots on this one, while Gemma Chan, McKenna Grace, Lee Pace, Djimon Hounsou and Jude Law also appear. Captain Marvel lands on 8 March, and if you missed it, the new poster is right here. And there's more! Find Everything You Need To Know Right here.
