He's back on on screen (though maybe not enough to please Grillians, Frankfurters or however his fans identify) in Captain America: Civil War, and now Frank Grillo is lining up another role. He's starring in suspense thriller Wolf In The Wild.
Not, as you might perhaps think, a prequel to The Grey (which also featured one Mr. F. Grillo in its cast), this Wolf features none of the toothy creatures, but instead focuses on a young man who is taken in by his best friend's family after his grandmother dies. But while life appears happy at first, he finds proof that his adoptive father might be a violent criminal. Fairly sure we know which role Grillo will be tackling, and it's not the grandmother...
With Claire Holt also in the cast, the film has Paranormal Activity The Ghost Dimension's Greg Plotkin in the director's chair, working from a script by Mark Mavrothalasitis and Will Frank. Rights for the film will be for sale at this month's Cannes Film Festival.
Grillo has a few films coming up, including The Purge: Election Year (July 15) and sci-fi sequel Beyond Skyline, which has yet to nail down a release date.
