Following on from the monumental gong-grabbing success of 2009’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, super developer Naughty Dog returns to the limelight just in time for Christmas with an awe-inspiring ode to the Hollywood globetrotting blockbuster.

Drake’s Deception sees the sticky-fingered treasure hunter on the hunt for the Atlantis of the Sands, battling a clandestine organization and traversing one of the most hostile terrains known to man.

Fantastic combat, the series’ trademark witty banter and the best use of 3D this side of James Cameron’s Avatar mean that not only have you got one of the most technically brilliant games of 2011, but also the definitive PlayStation 3 title worth stuffing in your stocking this Christmas.

See how Uncharted 3 did on our list of the 100 greatest games.
