Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions developer, Beenox, returns to the realm of the web-slinger with this, its second stab at Marvel’s superhero pin-up. Narrowing its focus from four to two Spider-Men (2099 and Classic), the team thrust you into a comic book fable penned by scribe, Peter David, that is less about bringing fresh ideas to the forefront and more about sticking to an already proven formula. There’s little new here but combat is as tight as ever, animations are crisp and nestled alongside a meaty campaign mode you’ll find a whopping selection of snack-sized challenges to battle through. Far from Arkham Asylum’s giddy accomplishments, but as comic-conversions go you could do far worse.
