Despite the general feeling of anger towards the banks in the last few years, tales of financial district debauchery have still worked at the cinema, including The Wolf Of Wall Street. Now Zac Efron is developing another real-life tale of monetary misconduct, producing and potentially starring in Straight To Hell.

Paramount is developing the movie, which has John M. Phillips adapting John LeFevre's 2015 book Straight To Hell: True Tales Of Deviance, Debauchery, And Billion-Dollar Deals. It details LeFevre's time as a high-profile investment banker, taking a candid, dark but also humorous look at his time at a huge company, with all the perks and moral compromises that came with it.

It's early days for this one, so it may not making it out of the echoing halls of development, where projects sometimes go to die. Still, Efron's name should help a little. The actor has worked on James Franco's The Masterpiece, and will be back on our screens in the Baywatch movie, due here on 12 May next year. He's also busy filming The Greatest Showman opposite Hugh Jackman.
