Described as a love letter to '80s supernatural classics, the latest drama to arrive from Netflix finds Winona Ryder as a mother confronting the mystery of her son vanishing one day. Check out the trailer for Stranger Things below.

Stranger Things is set in the sleepy 'burb of Hawkins, Indiana in 1983. Rarely does much happen here, but one day young Will (Noah Schnapp) goes missing. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving... Well, that would be giving too much away, wouldn't it? Suffice to say, as the title suggests, strange things are afoot.

Featuring the likes of Matthew Modine, Finn Wolfhard, Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer, Stranger Things hails from Matt and Ross Duffer, who directed last year's thriller Hidden and worked on Wayward Pines.

It looks like it could be good for some mysterious fun, and the series will launch all of its initial eight episodes on Netflix come July 15.
