UPDATE: We mentioned the trailer would be dropping, and indeed it has. Check it out below.
Though one behind-the-scenes picture of Tom Hanks and director Clint Eastwood is already out in the world, now we get a look at Hanks in what appears to be a 'tache-off with Aaron Eckhart in the first official still from Sully. Check out the furry-lipped action below.
Sully will chronicle the story of Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the man hailed as a hero when he safely landed a bird-struck, malfunctioning plane full of passengers on New York’s Hudson River back in 2009, becoming a symbol for old school guts and professionalism in the face of adversity. His moment of fame led to a memoir, called Highest Duty: My Search For What Really Matters, and saw both the book and his life rights bought by Frank Marshall, with Sully himself also on board as a producer.
Eastwood called the shots based on Todd Komarnicki's script, and the film features Eckhart as co-pilot Jeff Skiles who helped land the plane, Laura Linney as Lorraine Sullenberger and Anna Gunn as Doctor Elizabeth Davis, who presumably took a look at the pilot after the crash, especially as the investigation threatened to – pun entirely intended – sully his reputation.
Sully will land in the UK on December 2.
