In the years since he finished stalking the halls of Hogwarts as Harry Potter's villainous Draco Malfoy, Tom Felton has carved out for himself that usuakky finds him on the big screen. Yet he's now accepted a regular role on a TV series – for a season, so far – as he's joining The Flash.
The DC Comics-based series will be kicking off its third season later this year, and Felton is aboard to play Julian Dorn, a forensic specialist who works with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and suspects there might be more to him than just his easygoing personality. Which assumes he'll eventually discover Barry's dual life as the heroic Flash.
Beyond that, there's no concrete information about how he'll fit into the plot. The show's third season will be crafting its own take on the comics "Flashpoint" plot line, which (spoiler alert in case you're not up to date) saw Barry changing the timeline to save his mother, but not without consequences. The comic book version featured alternate Barry Allens, and it's possible Felton could also be inheriting the speedy mantle, at least for a few episodes.
We'll find out when the show returns to the CW in the States and Sky 1 here in the autumn. It's scheduled to kick back off again in October. Felton was seen in Risen and is part of the cast for A United Kingdom, which will open this year's BFI London Film Festival.
