She's currently to be found playing the young Princess Margaret on Netflix's The Crown, but Vanessa Kirby has accepted an assignment that will see her go from royal duty to blockbuster espionage. Kirby has joined the cast of the next Mission Impossible movie.
Rogue Nation's Chris McQuarrie is preparing the sixth outing for the franchise, having developed the idea and script with Tom Cruise, and written it to once again direct. The story details, are, somewhat naturally, being kept in a hidden vault accessible only by lowering yourself down on a wire and entering several codes, but we do know the film will once more see Cruise's Ethan Hunt on a globe-trotting mission, including scenes shot in Paris.
Rebecca Ferguson is expected to return, and we would certainly figure on Simon Pegg and possibly Jeremy Renner slipping back into their roles. The cameras should be rolling this spring and the movie will be out in July next year. You can hear more about the film from McQuarrie himself in his latest visit to the Empire Podcast (find the link below).
