Taron Egerton hit the slopes (and much warmer locations) of the Sundance Film Festival yesterday to talk up Eddie The Eagle, which was the surprise secret screening of the festival. He also found time to offer a small update on what is happening with Kingsman 2.

Last year's original, of course, helped established Egerton as a rising star, and clearly left the door open for a sequel. Co-writer/director Matthew Vaughn is back, and according to Egerton, he has some big plans. “With Kingsman, we’re shooting in the summer at present. There’s a script, it’s brilliant. Obviously there’s only so much I can say but what I can say is that we shot the first one all in the UK, that won’t be the case with the next one. It’s a far more international story, we’re going to some incredible places, and we have a villain to rival Samuel L. Jackson – this new one is so brilliantly written I wish I could play it. It’s amazing.”

Sounds like it could be fun, particularly that new bad guy. Vaughn will hopefully round up someone fun to bring them to life. Edgerton has a busy schedule at the moment, as he's about to start shooting Robin Hood: Origins and will segue from that to the new Kingsman. He'll also be seen in Billionaire's Boys Club and, of course, is the titular Eddie Edwards in Eddie The Eagle, out here on April 1.
