With Bryan Singer on as a producer and directing the pilot, the X-Men TV spin-off is busy tracking down its cast. The latest recruit for the potential show is True Blood veteran Stephen Moyer.
Burn Notice creator Matt Nix is the show-running and writing force behind the pilot, which focuses on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. Moyer will be the father, an ambitious lawyer called Reed who is trying to balance working for the District Attorney's office with his parental responsibilities. You've got to figure that needing to sherpherd his kids to a scrappy group of mutants won't help that balance.
Already in the cast are Blair Redford, who will play Sam, the stubborn leader of the network, and Jamie Chung, who has taken the role of teleporting mutant Blink.
Moyer was last seen on the small screen in the short-lived Kurt Sutter series The Bastard Executioner and has worked on police drama Shots Fired. He's also recently directed his first film, The Parting Glass.
