In Bruges man Martin McDonagh is gathering a true embarrassment of acting riches for his latest. He already has Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell and Abbie Cornish aboard, and he's adding Peter Dinklage, John Hawkes and Lucas Hedges to Three Billboards Out Of Ebbing, Missouri.
The film finds McDormand as an anguished mother whose daughter has been raped and murdered. Angered that the local police seem happier being racist than finding her child's killer, she pays for the three billboards of the title, lambasting law enforcement and trying to force them into action.
And now we know a little more about who is playing what in the film, as Harrelson will be the sheriff, with Rockwell as his deputy. Cornish is on as the sheriff's wife, while Caleb Landry Jones is also aboard, playing the billboard salesman.
Hawkes will be McDormand's ex-husband, with Dinklage as a local man who has a crush on her and Hedges as her son. Dinklage, who will be back on Game Of Thrones later this month, will also show up in The Boss, which arrives on June 10. Hawkes, last seen in Everest, has worked on TV movie Dr. Del, written by John Sayles. Hedges, who appeared in The Zero Theorem and Moonrise Kingdom, is winning praise for his work in Kenneth Lonergan's latest, Manchester By The Sea.
