Because the cine-train wasn't already full enough, Kenneth Branagh has assigned one more seat aboard his new film of Murder On The Orient Express. Penelope Cruz is the latest person holding a ticket for the Agatha Christie adaptation.

With a script by Michael Green, the new movie will tell the familiar story of a businessman slain aboard the locomotive while is help up by weather. With legendary detective Hercule Poirot (Branagh himself) on the case, he'll have to divine the killer from carriages full of potential suspects.

Deadline's report doesn't mention what Cruz will be doing in the movie, but she joins a cast that already includes Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Michael Pena, Michelle Pfeiffer, Judi Dench, Leslie Odom Jr. and Josh Gad.

Branagh is preparing to shoot soon and Murder On The Orient Express will pull into the station on 22 November next year.
