What do you get when you combine Bryan Cranston, Mila Kunis, Armie Hammer and the work of author Jo Nesbo? Apparently the result is a remake of a 2011 action comedy called Jackpot.
Despite sounding like a comedy featuring business colleagues falling out over a shared lottery win, it's actually hewing closer to something along the lines of Danish thriller Headhunters, since it follows the story of a man who wakes up in a strip bar clutching a shotgun and surrounded by dead bodies. And the police pointing their weapons at him... Though it'll probably skew further towards comedy than even Headhunters ventured, and is likewise based on one of Nesbo's stories.
Deadline's report doesn't mention what role the three main leads (and Jennifer Garner, who is in talks to join the team) will play. But Will Gluck (who last made Annie) is directing and Expendables writer Dave Callaham is responsible for the script.
Cranston has a few movies on the way, including drug cartel drama The Infiltrator, comedy Why Him? and drama Wakefield, which also features Garner. Kunis will be seen in Bad Moms (due July 29) and Hammer is in Sundance hot property The Birth Of A Nation and Ben Wheatley's next film, Free Fire.
