Shooting has been underway for a few weeks now on Ridley Scott's Prometheus follow-up, Alien: Covenant. Now the movies' twitter feed has posted a first look behind the scenes.
The image sees Katherine Waterston's character, Daniels, in what looks like a chamber of the film's titular ship. And that "nowhere to run" caption speaks ominously towards the danger that no doubt lurks nearby.
Covenant's story finds the colony ship headed for a remote planet, a place that the crew initially thinks is an uncharted paradise but turns out to be dark and full of terrors. And the only inhabitant is synthetic life form David (Michael Fassbender), who claims to be the lone survivor of the Prometheus mission. This latest image follows the mission patch that popped up online back in April.
Scott, working this time from a script by Michael Green and Jack Paglen, has Waterston, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, Billy Crudup and Danny McBride aboard this one. Alien: Covenant will land here on August 4 next year.
