A few weeks ago, eagle-eyed New Yorkers would have spotted the below billboard art pop up in Times Square. For those familiar with Mondo posters, this brand new banner is certainly worthy of a place amidst their collection, and is undoubtedly the most colourful piece of marketing for the franchise to date.
After battling dinobots in Age Of Extinction, the above poster appears to tease a new spiky foe for our favourite Autobot. Transformers lore had Megatron transform (it's no secret that the Decepticon is making a comeback) into a dragon, and, if the number of beasties on this poster are anything to go by, could The Last Knight include a three-headed dragon-bot à la Scourge in the Cybertron animated series? We’ll have to wait and see.
With little currently known about the fifth instalment’s plot, we do know that The Last Knight will see Laura Haddock, Jean Dujardin and Anthony Hopkins join Mark Wahlberg’s Cade Yeager. Franchise mainstays Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson are also, of course, on-board for more explody fun times.
With Michael Bay back in the driving seat, the Bayhem will this time be written by three scriptwriters entirely new to the franchise: Iron Man’s Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, and Black Hawk Down’s Ken Nolan.
Transformers: The Last Knight explodes into cinemas on June 23, 2017.
