It's been a while since we've heard anything about young Mary Shelley drama A Storm In The Stars. But the cameras are now rolling on the film, and the cast has been bolstered with the likes of Maisie Williams, Tom Sturridge, Joanne Froggat and Stephen Dillane.

A Storm In The Stars finds Wadjida director Haifaa Al-Mansour working from a script by Emma Jensen and Conor McPherson that charts the passionate love affair between the 18-year-old Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin (Elle Fanning) and Percy Shelley (Douglas Booth), the charismatic poet and her future husband. It’s set just one year before Mary would craft Frankenstein, her tale of man trying to create life from death.

Sturridge is set to play Lord Byron, at whose house the idea for the story is conceived during a challenge for all guests to write a ghost story. Dillane and Froggat are Mary's father and stepmother and Williams will be her friend, Isabel Baxter. The new arrivals join Bel Powley and Ben Hardy in the cast, with production underway in Ireland before a move to Luxembourg next week.
