DreamWorks Animation has been all in on the idea of '90s toy sensation Trolls for a few years now, even going so far as to snap up the rights to the brand itself. Part of that plan was to make an animated film about them, and the first teaser trailer is out now, which you can find here{
We don't learn much about the film besides that the little creatures with the trademark tufts of hair seem to love music (no surprise when you have Justin Timberlake as one of the main voices and as soundtrack producer) and are under threat from bigger beasts called Bergens, who find Trolls the most delectable treat they can imagine.
Anna Kendrick stars alongside Timberlake, playing the optimistic Poppy to his more gloomy Branch. And the rest of the cast is a mix of comedy folk and musicians including James Corden, The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayar, Gwen Stefani, Russell Brand, Ron Funkiest, Meg DeAngelis, GloZell Green, Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, the latter two making up Swedish indie group Icona Pop.
Shrek Forever After director Mike Mitchell is in charge of this one, and Trolls will be out in the UK on October 21.
